Full honey processing (also known as Black Honey) starts when ripe, red cherries are picked, depulped, and immediately placed on raised drying beds. The coffee is transported with no water to keep the mucilage full and clean. It takes 10-12 days to dry before it is milled, sorted, and packaged at the farm.

We work directly with specialty importers, exporters, producers, and farmers that share our values of sustainability and commitment to community. We strive to build long term relationships with our coffee partners, and as Andytown grows, our goal is to have our partners grow alongside us. In addition to maintaining regular communication, we also plan trips to visit our partners in their farms, processing facilities, and offices, and meet with folks throughout the supply stream that help bring coffees to our roastery.

We work closely with our partners to carefully source coffees that highlight the unique flavor profiles coffee producing regions have to offer. Our menu is designed to showcase a wide range of flavor profiles–from classic and comforting to wild and experimental. Our hope is that any person who comes through our doors will be able to find a coffee to their liking.

Andytown Coffee is a woman owned coffee roasting company here in the Outer Sunset of San Francisco, California founded in 2014 by Lauren Crabbe and Michael McCrory.
