Fazenda Moinho is a 120-hectare farm with 100 hectares planted with coffee, a total of about 600,000 trees. The farm is owned by Robson Vilela Martins, Robson was a dentist in his former life, and now he is the owner of several farms and a Cup of Excellence winner, as well as very high-scoring producer from Carmo Best Cup. "I always ask the opinion of the employees in my day-to-day life," Robson said. "I never make an important decision alone because they were born here, they know a lot about coffee, and I always learn a lot from them. Every morning we gathered under a big tree near the farmyard where we talked and discussed the activities that each one will carry out on that day."

The Coffee Trust works with coffee producers and their families in the Ixil region of Guatemala. Our comprehensive, integrated approach to development helps them as they empower themselves to choose their own future based on their priorities, values, and culture. Our trainers are farmers from within the community who teach their peers what's worked for them. The people have built a sustainable micro-credit program with close to 2,000 women, nearly doubled coffee production after losing 75% of their crop to the roya fungus, and have helped grow over 100 gardens to feed their families.

This is the Oaxacan coffee growing region where the Sierra Madre del Sur coastal mountain range is peppered with small family farms, each consisting of just a few acres of land. Nearly forty percent of the producers are women who rely on coffee income to support their families. Producers here continue to identify with their indigenous roots using organic practices to manage their farms and protect their environment. They harvest cherries, then depulp, ferment, wash, and dry the coffee using their own micro-mills. While these producers are their own architects, designing farm management and post-harvest solutions to fit their needs, they need strong alliances to bring their coffee to the international market and earn fair prices. In Oaxaca, more than 4,000 producers from 134 communities and 45 producer associations have consolidated their efforts into an umbrella cooperative called Coordinadora Estatal de Productores de Café del Estado de Oaxaca (CEPCO), which carries out activities that are often overlooked but crucial to small producers. For example, CEPCO has helped producers gain access to credit and certifications. CEPCO has also led the leaf rust recovery effort, helping thousands of producers renovate their farms and increase their production of organic fertilizers. Investments for basic infrastructure needs, like road improvements, establishing local warehouses, and dry-mill facilities are also coordinated through CEPCO. Their collective efforts have established higher prices and more producer income to support best agricultural practices and an improved livelihood.

We offer a great variety of blends and single origin coffee beans to choose from.  They are constantly cupped and measured for quality which we are confident you'll notice and appreciate.  

Unique to our collection are the All Natural, and, Organic Compliant flavored coffee!  This "dry" process does not use the chemical base of propylene glycol commonly used in flavoring coffee.  It's also coffee grinder friendly as a result.  You will also notice a more smooth, and less bitter flavor profile in our flavored coffee.

We believe we can pursue excellence from sourcing to roasting and make it approachable for coffee professionals and curious consumers alike. At the heart of the company is an incredible staff that is united together by a common passion for coffee. Each team member brings with them extensive experience working as Baristas.
